Beary Cute (Cornwall Stray) Scrunchie

This fabric/print is SO special to us.

For this print, we teamed up with Retro Rach Designs. Rachel was kind enough to create this exclusive print of Cornwall stray cat, Bear. (Yes! You are looking at fabric that is a drawing of a Cornwall stray cat!)

Bear was an FIV+ (aids in cats) stray cat, meaning his immune system was compromised. For months, I had been bringing him to my vet in the hopes of clearing up a horrendous lung/sinus infection. (He also had severe issues with mouth ulcers that just wouldn't heal up.) On November 9th, 2023, my vet recommended that Bear cross over the rainbow bridge, telling me the kindest thing I could do for him, was to bring him peace.

Having this fabric custom printed after losing him was absolutely gut wrenching, and sewing these together was no different. As much as it aches, I need to tell Bear's story in the hopes of preventing this kind of pain and loss for other stray cats.
